Clara Griffin is a Montreal-based musician passionate about exploring new art forms and performing diverse genres of music. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor in Cello Performance at McGill University, where she is an active member of multiple early music ensembles. She enjoys collaborating with emerging composers and singer-songwriters and is a member of the local grunge band La Tragédie.

Clara has been collaborating with Just a Theory Press since 2020, providing editing, engraving, note entry, and proofreading services. She has been working as an editor and engraver since 2017. She is also employed as an editorial assistant with the Gershwin Initiative of the University of Michigan where she contributes to the publication of the George and Ira Gershwin Critical Edition.

A strong supporter of promoting underrepresented composers of colour, Clara has received a grant from the U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance EXCEL Enterprise Fund to support the creation of a new critical edition of the complete string quartets of Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. She aims to make a high-quality, bilingual edition accessible to students and professionals.

In her free time, Clara enjoys biking around Montreal and trying different local cafes. She also enjoys cooking, soccer, and playing music with friends.
